I saw Lana talking away on her ninja turtle flip phone and overheard her saying "hi auntie Brooksie. [pause] I'm with Buzz right now [pause]. I'll talk to you later. Bye". Then she mastered the real joy of a flip phone and slapped it shut. Snap! Her date is set with Auntie Brooke. She collected herself, picked up Woody and walked out the patio door. Princess Lana is mastering her universe! :)

Old Technology
On 6/16/15 Alli put in one of our old VHS tapes "Happily Ever After" in for Lana and had to rewind it. Lana sat there for a few seconds and then said innocently..."are you downloading it ?"

Backseat driver
On May 1 I drove with Alli and baby, in my truck, downtown to go pick up Alli's car from Goodyear and me go to work.
When I was backing up in the truck to get into a parking spot, I put my hand on the back of the chair next to me to back up. Lana, who is sitting in the middle of the backseat in her car seat, grabbed my hand and tried to pull it off the chair. So in command of everything around her :-)

Little Writer
Lana showed everyone what she knew using the 'Little Writer ABCs' app
and counted out loud for everyone. The when counting different shapes she said "clocks" in a low voice. Had to be there but it was funny. And again later in that little low voice she told us she couldn't find Bopis phone and said sheepishly with that sad face "I lost it" but she didn't :)

She's a player!
Lana is really growing up fast. Now if you ask her "how are you doing?"...she answers "I'm two and a half" and then laughs.
The night before Easter we were at home playing a game of trivial pursuit and baby wanted to play. So we got the Brain Quest card deck she has for 2-3 yr olds. She did a terrific job of making a controlled roll of the dice, after she threw the first one almost off the table. She learned she needed to wait her
turn. She really played a very respectable game...and she won! Every question was a pie and she aced her questions. It took Ran, Alli and I another 30 minutes to finish up, while she went on to other activities, probably something more intellectual. :) It was awesome. She's so smart. I hope to get her in a board game again. And the pic is terrific for how well she did. She looks like a 'play-ah'.
Later that week she did something that showed how so sweet she is. She came upstairs and into our

room, just before her bedtime. She came up on the bed to jump around like a monkey with Bopi. I was on my laptop and not playing enough attention to her, when she jumped backwards, throwing her head back quickly and right to the top of my shoulder bone. She didn't seem hurt at all but it really caught me good and she could see that I was visibly hurt for a few seconds. She waited a little and then kissed my shoulder, before saying good night. That was nice. I went back online and again was engulfed in what was doing, when around 15 minutes later baby came into our room quietly. She lfted herself on the bed and crawled up to me. She didn't say anything but just kissed my shoulder again. My heart just melted...really. She's such a sweetheart.

"I'm twoooo"
Well, it's the end of Feb 2015 now. It's too bad I can't just provide a little more of a regular cadence with this. It's not like I don't have enough pics of baby. For the last few months whenever someone asks her "how are you doing? ", she likes to immediately say "I am two" and then dances around and laughs at her joke.
Her other funny thing to say is when Randi and I are in the same room, she points to both of us and says "two bopis". The first time she did this it was sooo cute to see her process it in her head and say that to us. Now she states it emphatically, while pointing at us.
She like to say "taze (Toews!)" for the word "crazy". We like that one. I actually used it at work without any explanation to my co-workers.
She also likes to say "heavy" a lot. I think that started when Estella tried to pick her up when they were over around Christmas and said Lana was heavy.
She calls herself "baby duca". Alli said that just the other day she put her hand on her chest and called herself that :)
She's watched Frozen maybe 250 times and now likes to sing the songs from it. But her favorite/first song is Barbie Dreamhouse (even though Barbie has been banned at our house for quite some time now, after we immediately noticed that the girls on her show seemed like a bunch of teenage sluts). On February 4 2015 I went to the library and picked up a Cinderella DVD. When I got home baby put it on right away. I told her that I got "Cinderelley" from the library and she seriously corrected me saying "no, no... a-lell-la". Tonight she was up at the top of stairs looking down saying "I slide, I slide" at the top of the stairs. I said "what" a couple times but when I finally got it, she sat down, turned around with a smile, and rocketed down the stairs on her stomach...kind of hydroplaning all the way down. I was kinda stunned and asked Alli in the kitchen, how long she'd been doin that. She was like, what? It apparently was a new discovery of Lana's and she was very excited about it ! This video is literally the second time she did it. I told Alli she better take it now because we'll need to stop laughing and make her stop that.
It's taze. ...and heavy
